Lalalala, Mookit had hummed all day since her heard the call of a small speckled bird. He longed to imitate it's sweet song, but, he would need some practice

Nightkit trembled with fear. It was her and her brother's fifth moon cycle. The whole clan was outside. She heard the roar of the clan and she knew that was her cue. She stepped outside and the flowers she had so delicatly tucked into her fur, rustled in the wind. Everyone cheered as she walked out. She saw her older brother walk out in a small cape of twigs. Food was lined up against the back wall of the main cave. The moon was shining bright in the sky, lighting up Midnightkit's fur. Nightkit felt impatience fill her as she waited for her cue. She ran around and smiled brightly. Midnightkit rolled his eyes and padded over to the food. Nightkit was happy, for it was almost like her fifth birthday. SHe was finally one stpe closer to becoming part of the clan... or losing those that she loves.

Midnightkit didn't care at all about this stupid ceromony. He only cared about being one step closer to never having to see Nightkit again. Nightkit trotted in a circle stupidly and then smiled. He rolled his eyes and then padded over to food. "At least the food is good," he whispered. He took a bite of one of the dishes and then looked down to see who had made this amazing dish. His stupid sister did of course. He spit out the food in disgust. Then walked away to take a nice long nap. Maybe sleep this horrible nightmare away. Nightkit was skipping around. If only she knew that he was leaving... or did she?

MorningGlory watched as Midnightkit was ambushed by questions. He kept screaming answers. And finally, she walked over and pulled him away. "Stop it! You are going to ruin you're sister's mood!"
"There you go again about my stupid sister!" Midnightkit snapped. He just couldn't hold it in anymore. "After I turn six cycles old, I'm ditching this rat on a stick stand!"
His mother gasped.
"I'm not stupid!" Nightkit screamed and stormed away.
"Really? She's not upset that I'm leaving, she's upset that I called her stupid."
MorningGlory began to weep and trotted over to Twilightsbreak for advice.

"What possible reason could I give him? I have to admit, even I would hate to have her for a sister. She's not that stable." She sighed as Nightkit tripped over her own paws. "But, I think I could take him to Loner's Cave to show him how miserable life is over there." Nightkit laughed as she hit the ground with a thump. "After I fix her suituation."

"Oh it will." MorningGlory smiled deviously. "I'm an awesome Mom. Tomorrow we leave. I'll take anyone else who wants to go."
"I'll come!" Nightkit jumped to her mother's side.
"No, you too weird." Nightkit faked a sob and stepped to the side. "I know you're faking because you're lips are moving."
"Mean." Nightkit stalked away, using the cover of night to trip...again.
"I lthink she might just be a lost cause. But I'll take donations!" MorningGlory chuckled. "No really, she's hopeless." Or is she? Yes.
